Diy Hoverboard

2015 Project

Supply List

  • 4'x4'x3/4" Sheet Of Plywood
  • Leaf Blower (Gas Or Electric)
  • A Shower Certain Or Tarp
  • Duct Tape
  • Pvc Adapter (Optional)
  • Cardboard (Optional)

Here I'm using a compass with a dowel rod to trace out the base of the hoverboard. If you do not have a compass with a dowel rod you can take a long string and tie one end to the end of a nail and the other end to a pencil then tap the nail into the center of the wood and bring the pencil around the wood.

Next take a jig saw and cut out your circle and sand the edges if needed.

Optional: With a hole saw or a jig saw cut out a hole to fit the pvc. This makes it easy to take the leaf blower on and off.
If you don't use a pvc make a hole big enough for the leaf blower to fit.

From the largest corner of leftover wood trace out another circle for the medallion. Then tap a screw in the center so the drill doesn't walk, if you have a hole saw big enough if not draw a circle with a compass or pencil and string and cut it out with a jig saw.

Same as above.

If the edges are ruff use sand paper to sand till smooth.

Lay your board in the corner of your tarp/shower certain and cut a square to size.

Now cut a parameter around the board leave enough room to fold it over the edge.

Fold the tarp/shower certain over the edge of the wood and add duct tape to fasten it down. Then if you have one use a stapling gun to make it more secure if not add more duct tape.

Put a square of duct tape a little bigger than the medallion in the center of the tarp/shower certain so it dosen't rip. Screw in medallion in the center of the tarp. Make sure the screw is not long enough to go through the other side of the wood.

Cut 3" holes in the tarp/shower certain to let enough air out for it hover. The hoverboard was ridden a lot before this picture was taken but it should look something like this.
Now it's time to enjoy your own diy hoverboard.
